Registration is now open for the 2024 edition of the connect4geothermal Geothermal Forum hosted by Geothermie Schweiz / Geothermie Suisse. This year’s event will be taking place on the 13th of November at the Zentrum Paul Klee in Bern, Switzerland.

The annual connect4geothermal event provides the perfect opportunity to keep up to date with the trends and developments for geothermal in Switzerland and abroad. This year’s event will feature a series of workshops in the morning and early afternoon before a plenary session some of the latest updates on new geothermal technologies and projects in Switzerland, the whole of Europe, and globally.
It is an interesting time for medium-depth to deep geothermal in Switzerland in the context of the drilling work that was just completed in Haute-Sorne, as well as exploration work being undertaken in and around the Vinzel region. In mid-2024, the Federal Council of Switzerland voted in favor of formulating an action plan and roadmap for the development of medium-depth geothermal energy for heat supply.
